Your comments, feedback and suggestions: I can improve on the definition for 'Factory Automation': Factory automation is when computers and automated machinery take the place of human workers to make operations run more smoothly and efficiently. These automated machines can do anything from sorting mail to welding car parts on an assembly line. Factory automation usually implements processes such as CNC manufacturing, CAM services, mechanical assembly, and conveying systems.
