Interactive Data Visualization, Inc. (IDV) develops software products with a focus on real-time three dimensional technology for the visual simulation, data visualization, game development, and animation industries. IDV, a privately held corporation, was founded in 1999 in Columbia, South Carolina. The two main products of IDV are Eye-Sys and SpeedTree.
In Q4 of 2007, IDV launched Eye-Sys, a visualization application that delivers unprecedented versatility to the challenges of visualizing complex and dynamic data of all types. The software was developed and partially funded through engagements with the US Dept of Defense, various research organizations and leading defense contractors. Early adopters include Lockheed Martin, other major technology firms, and various groups within the US Dept of Defense.
