Tenon Engineering is a family run business based in Dorking, Surrey. The company was started by John Sherlock and is now run by his son Martin Sherlock.

Tenon specialise in complete supply chain management for ongoing projects for customer needs, a “one stop shop”.
Tenon also undertakes sub-contract work where there is a wide range of processes.

Machining Tenon has a state of the art machine shop where multi-axis machines can manufacture the most complex machining using CAD packages. We can also undertake R & D and small batch work within the manual machine shop, ranging from milling, turning and grinding – working to tight tolerances.
Sheet metal Tenon Engineering has a modern fine limit sheet metal/fabrication shop with a Laser Cutter, CNC punch press and CNC folders, all using the latest software package Radian. We also incorporate a welding shop to ensure we cover all the bases.
Assembly shop Our assembly shop is where we assemble Graphite Air Bearings for a large, world leading rheological company. We also assemble numerous other scientific machines and cover light assemblies. Our assembly shop also has a clean room, where precision cameras are built. Every customer is assigned a dedicated area and area to work on any given project.
Design Facilities At Tenon we don’t just always follow other people’s designs, we can also put our huge amount of experience into action and work with the customer to enhance their ideas using the “Inventor” drawing package. This ensures cost effective manufacturer on a production basis.
Quality We have a ISO 9001/2008 certificate and an inspection with 2 CMM machines which can give full inspection reports on machined parts if required.
