Tool Steel

Tool SteelTool steel refers to a variety of carbon and alloy steels that are particularly well-suited to be made into tools. Their suitability comes from their distinctive hardness, resistance to abrasion, their ability to hold a cutting edge, and/or their resistance to deformation at elevated temperatures (red-hardness).

Tungsten

TungstenTungsten, also known as wolfram, is a chemical element with the chemical symbol W and atomic number 74. The word tungsten comes from the Swedish language tung sten directly translatable to heavy stone.

Steel 17-22A

Steel 17-22A17-22A is a low alloy heat-resistant steel in the form of bar, forgings, mechanical tubing and forging stock. Commonly used in the manufacture of shafts and fasteners.

Stainless Steel 422

Stainless Steel 422422 is a hardenable martensitic stainless steel which is being widely used for high temperatures up to 1200°F. It has excellent creep-rupture properties in the range of 600/1200°F and is capable of being heat treated to various high strength levels depending on section, form, and application involved.

Steel Aermet 100

Steel Aermet 100An alloy providing high hardness and strength combined with exceptional ductility and toughness. This alloy may be considered for aircraft and aerospace structural components requiring high strength, high fracture toughness and exceptional stress corrosion cracking resistance.

Stainless Steel Custom 450

Stainless Steel Custom 450Custom 450* stainless is a martensitic age-hardened stainless steel. It has a high corrosion resistance similar to 304 stainless, but has the moderate strength closer to a 410 stainless.

Stainless Steel Custom 455

Stainless Steel Custom 455Custom 455* stainless is a martensitic age-hardenable double vacuum-melted stainless steel. This alloy is known for being soft and formable in the annealed condition. However single-step aging treatments result in exceptionally high yield strength along with good ductility and toughness.

Stainless Steel Custom 465

Stainless Steel Custom 465Custom 465* Stainless is a premium quality, high strength, age-hardening stainless. Known for its improved notch tensile strength, fracture toughness and fabricability, Custom 465 also has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking. This material can be supplied solution annealed and in the H900, H950, H1100 and H1150 conditions.

Tool Steel H11

Tool Steel H11H-11 tool steel is a 5% chromium hot work steel that is characterized by excellent impact toughness. It contains less vanadium than the widely-used H13 tool steel. This provides for the higher toughness, with some reduction in wear resistance and temper resistance.

Steel HP 9-4-20

Steel HP 9-4-20HP 9-4-20 typically has Yield Strength (YS) of 200-205 KSI, but there are other properties that have desirable values such as through-hardening, Charpy Impact Toughness of 84ft-lbs and elongation values of 14 to 18%. The YS value can be driven up approaching 235ksi; however, the fracture toughness value falls off quickly.

Steel HP 9-4-30

Steel HP 9-4-30HP 9-4-30 is a high strength, low alloy steel was conceived to be used in applications requiring high fracture toughness in the 220/240 KSI tensile range. Typically used in aircraft structural sections, this vacuum melted alloy exhibits exceptional cleanliness and weldability.

Nickel Inconel 601

Nickel Inconel 601nconel 601* or Nickel 601 is a member of the austenitic nickel-chromium based super alloys. Inconel 601* is typically used where application require corrosion, oxidation and heat resistant materials. Best suited for extreme environments, a thick oxide layer protects the surface in these applications preventing further attack.
