Plastim Limited is part of the Omnia Plastica S.p.A. group, who are one of Europe's leading manufacturers and distributors of engineering plastics rods, sheets and tubes. The Group commenced manufacturing of plastic shapes in 1950 and were the first to extrude PETP material. They have modern production facilities in northern Italy and distribute their products throughout Europe, Asia and the Far East.
Plastim is one of the largest engineering plastic stockists and leading specialist plastic machinists in the UK. We achieved ISO9001:2008 accreditation in March 2009.

From our large and varied stock we supply precision engineers, OEM's as well as plastic and metal stockholders throughout the UK and Ireland with both stock shapes and cut pieces. The technical & product pages herein reflect only a part but not all of our product offering. For example, we offer 6 types of Ptfe (Virgin, Glass-Filled, Carbon-Filled, Bronze-Filled, Mica-Filled and PEI-Filled) and twenty three types of UHMWPE and HMWPE (Virgin, Regen, Glass-Filled, Anti-Static, Ceramic-Filled, Oil-Filled and OilPlus-Filled etc, etc – see “U/HMWPE Special” button). These include products such as Acetal Copolymer and Polyetherimide PEI.
Machining
At Plastim we take great pride in our workmanship and on-time delivery performance. We know of no other machinist who produces a better quality product than we do. Our group have over 25 years experience in machining plastic components. We know which are the most suitable coolants to use (some materials react poorly to certain coolants), when extra annealing is required and which are the correct feeds & speeds required to produce a quality product. Our machining department comprises modern CNC lathes, vertical machining centres and turret mills and we have CAD/CAM software directly linked to all of our CNC machines.
