Reggiolo (RE), November 18th 2010 - A total of 166,400 visitors flocked to EIMA International, 18% more than those who turned up for the 2008 edition to mark an all-time high and confirm the great prestige of the event - not only due to the exhibition's strong technological content but also thanks to the numbers - and to underscore EIMA's growing internationalization. more than 26,300 visitors from abroad, 16% of the total, from 140 countries plus as many as 47 official foreign delegations.

The outlook on agricultural mechanization by the Agrievolution Economic Working Group - formed by the leading nations' manufacturers' associations - confirms an upwards trend for the emerging countries in the coming year. Other than India, where the tractor market has stabilized at 400,000 new units per year, the gains are expected to come to 4% in China with 240,000 new tractors sold, to 10% for Brazil at plus 56,000 units, to 11% in Turkey with 30,000 new machines delivered and to 5% in the Russian Federation for 14,600 new tractors.

Western markets are expected to remain in the red throughout 2010 with recovery coming in 2011 in the United States and Europe, those hit by the international crisis to show steep declines in 2009 sales and set to close the year with U.S. tractors sales down 5%, with a total of 145,000 units registered, and a 10% drop in Europe, with 144,000 tractors registered. Recovery arriving next year should include a 3% gain in the U.S., to reach 152,000 units, and plus 8% in Europe with 155,000 machines sold.

Comer Industries received the Tecnological Innovation Award Eima 2010 for its AJC (Active Jump Control) Mechatronic System. for driven cutter bar, on show at a crowded Quadriportico of the Bologna event.

The company was present at Eima with a new - design booth of 256 square meters in hall 20, displaying its most recent mechanization solutions for the agricultural machinery, with special focus on renewable energy. On show an angular planetary drive for biogas plants, which transmits vertical movement to the screw feeders. The product is available for electric motor or in the version for PTO driveshaft.

Transmissions for combines and hay and forage harvesters have also arisen considerable interest.

On November 12, in the afternoon, Comer Industries has hosted on its stand the event for the celebration of the 40th anniversary of Comer Industries.

President and CEO Fabio Storchi outlined the milestones in the history of the company and devoted a special thank to customers, who are the constant focus in this 40 years path, and to Comer Industries associates, who offered their expertise, enthusiasm and knowledge' contribution.
