The Cygnus 4 ultrasonic thickness gauge was used in a survey for a boat in Bristol. The hull of this boat was built in 1912.  It started out being 72' long before it was chopped in half and converted into a narrowboat. The paint on the hull is thick and flaky but the Cygnus gauge coped well! Nick Vass MIIMS, Registered Marine Surveyor, also commented “I am very pleased with our Cygnus 4 ultrasonic thickness gauge.
