Software Modeling

Reitz Consulting offers a wide variety of options for your software modeling needs.

Alibre Expert Design

Alibre Design is a 3D parametric solid modeling that creates precise 3D mechanical designs, and generates and details 2D associative drawings. Alibre Design has — a BOM editor, integrated sheet metal design, repository for integrated data management and sharing, PhotoRender for generating high-quality photorealistic images, Alibre Part Library featuring millions of standard and manufacturer parts, first-pass linear static finite element analysis with ALGOR DesignCheck, MecSoft VisualMill Basic 3.0 for 3-axis milling and post-processors, ModelPress Publisher: securely publish models for use with the free reader, Alibre PhotoRender Industrial Pack for realistic surfaces and effects, MSC.visualNastran Motion for motion simulation analysis, SprutCAM for Alibre Design, a powerful 3D milling application.

BoltCalc

The BOLTCALC program completes an analysis of a bolted joint by considering the forces acting upon a single bolt. The program will allow for variations in the bolt clamp force (or preload) due to the tightening method and embedding due to plastic deformation in the thread and under the nut. Based upon published research information, the program will determine the fatigue endurance limit of the thread (rolled or machine cut), the amount of embedding anticipated in the joint and the tightening torque for given friction conditions. A database of thread and under nut friction values for a range of bolt finishes and joint materials is included in the program. By pulling together published research information in an easy to use package, the program allows the engineer to perform checks and calculations on a bolted joint that otherwise could only be completed after extensive research and experience into the subject.

CFS

CFS is a comprehensive general-purpose cold-formed steel component design tool that performs calculations according to the AISI 2004 Edition of the North American Specification for the Design of Cold-Formed Steel Structural Members, and the 2002 Edition of the ASCE Specification for the Design of Cold-Formed Stainless Steel Structural Members (ASCE-8-02).

Engineering Power Tools

A program that does calculations for all those commonly stumbled upon mechanical and electrical components, material properties, structural data, bending stresses and all.

Engineering Tool Box

EngineersToolbox (ETBX) is an advanced software product for engineering design and analysis. ETBX features integrated computational modules that provide rapid solutions to common engineering systems and scenarios. The ETBX module library covers a range of engineering specialties, including: Solid Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer, Dynamics and Controls, Fatigue and Fracture Mechanics, Numeric Methods, Reference Data And Utilities.

ETBX helps the engineer to interactively explore ideas during a design or evaluation study. Its graphical interface encourages investigation and makes it easy to quickly compare design alternatives that can lead to early insights and competitive advantages. Engineering professionals worldwide use ETBX to speed product development and analysis, reduce project costs, and produce effective solutions.

MITCalc

MITCalc is a set of engineering, industrial, and technical calculations for your day-to-day routines. It will reliably, precisely, and most of all quickly guide you through the design of components, the solution of a technical problem, or a calculation of an engineering point without any significant need for expert knowledge.

MITCalc contains both design and check calculations of many common tasks, such as: spur gear, bevel gear, timing belt, v-belt and chain drives, bearings, springs, beam, buckling, shaft, bolt connection, shaft connection, force couplings of shafts, pins, tolerances, tolerance analysis, technical formulas and many others. You also have available many material, comparison, and decision tables, including a system for the administration of resolved tasks.

MITCalc is an open system designed in Microsoft Excel to which you can make further modifications or user extensions without any programming skills.

MITCalc supports simple interconnection of individual parts between either each other, or your calculation, or tables.

MITCalc cooperates with many 2D and 3D CAD systems (AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, IntelliCAD, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Pro/Engineer...). To draw a designed solution in 2D or insert correspondent 3D models and their assemblies is a matter of seconds.
